BRIN Establishes Collaboration with Nafas Indonesia for Air Pollution Research
On Friday (12/01), Nafas Indonesia and the Research and Technology Testing and Standard Center (PRTPS) of the Indonesian Agency for Research and Innovation (BRIN) officially signed a cooperation agreement for collaborative research on air pollution.
The signing of this research cooperation agreement was conducted by the Acting Head of PRTPS, BRIN, Dr. Teguh Muttaqie, S.T., M.Sc., and the CEO and co-founder of Nafas Indonesia, Nathan Roestandy, at the Research Center for Science and Technology (Puspitek) in Serpong. This collaboration will last for the next year.
The collaboration between Nafas Indonesia and BRIN will encompass two main aspects:
- Research on the development of pollutant source investigation methods based on sensor data.
- Establishment of a clean air zone for areas affected by conventional energy emissions.
The realization of this initiative will be implemented through the collection of pollutant data with sensors, processing and analysis of pollutant data, and the presentation of research results that have been executed. The sensors used in this process will be low-cost sensors designed for air pollution detection.
May this collaboration be a positive step in maintaining the quality of our air. With the joint efforts of Nafas Indonesia and BRIN, our hope is to create a cleaner and healthier environment for the community. Healthy air awaits us all in the future!
